How
much will my shipping charges
be? |
| |
During the order process,
you will be given a list of different shipping methods from
which you can pick the one that suits you. The total cost of the
goods and the cost of shipping, as well as sales tax if
applicable, are clearly displayed. For small items USA residents
the least expensive shipping method is by UPS Ground Residential
which takes 1-5 business days to deliver anywhere in the US
depending on your location. For large items (body kits, hoods,
fenders) USA and Canadian customers must select a shipping zone
depending on the state you live in. Shipping to a residential
address is about $40.00 more expensive to the same state then
shipping to any business address (work, body shop, gov.
facility, etc)

 |
How do
I track my order? |
| |
We email tracking
information to you via your "paid" invoice with details of
shipper and tracking information.
|
 |
What if
I need to return my order? |
| |
If you are not satisfied
with your order for any reason, we have a liberal return policy
of 2 weeks from the delivery date. Restock fees may apply and are at the discretion of
Cruizin Concepts and/or the manufacture. Under certain
circumstances, restock fees may not apply. However, original
shipping charges and return shipping costs will not be refunded
or credited due to these being non-refundable third party
charges, being out of our control. After 5 days all cancelled
orders are subject to a cancellation fee of 25%;
All returned
items must meet the following criteria: ITEMS MUST BE UNDAMAGED,
UNUSED, AND IN ORIGINAL CONDITION/PACKAGING.
For security and validation purposes Cruizin
Concepts and/or the manufacture also may require photos of the
item(s) being returned in order to validate the product(s) are
in original condition and were not damaged during transit. This
is both for our and especially the customers safety. In the
event the items are returned and our staff sees that the
merchandise is damaged this proves that the item(s) were in
original condition before the items were returned. This will be
mandatory information for the freight company in order to file
an appropriate damage claim on the merchandise.
- Items must be complete, with all original instructions,
hardware and packaging. All items must be accompanied by your
original sales receipt/invoice listing the item(s).
- If the return is a result of a shipping error (wrong
merchandise received) we will arrange the pick up and ship the
correct items at no additional cost. Please note that due to the
logistics of truck freight, it may take several days to resend
merchandise. Returned merchandise must be received before
correct merchandise can be shipped as a fraud prevention
measure.
- All item(s) returned must be accompanied by a pre-issued
return authorization number (RA#). You must abide by these
instructions to return any merchandise:
1. Obtain RA# by contacting a customer service representative
2. RA# must be clearly marked on the outside carton next to
the
mailing label of the return merchandise. Also you must include
the original invoice inside of carton.
3. Merchandise must be received by us within 30 days of RA#
issue date
4. Any merchandise returned without a valid RMA number will
NOT be
accepted and will be returned to customer at his or her own
expense.
5. You are responsible for all shipping charges for returns
for warranty issues/claims.
6. All returned merchandise must be received in original
condition.
If the item is damaged or lost during return shipment, Cruizin
Concepts will not issue any refund or credit. Please insure all
return merchandise for your safety.

What if
I don't have my original sales
receipt/invoice? |
| |
If you lost your original
sales receipt or never received one, simply let us know when
you call to obtain your RMA number. Our friendly staff will look
up your sales receipt and match your RMA number to your receipt.
Verification may be required for security purposes.
|
 |
What if
you don't have all of the items
in stock? |
| |
If an item you ordered is
out of stock, it will be back-ordered automatically (domestic
orders only). For international orders, we will email you
notification of the missing items to confirm the balance of your
order. Due to our enormous volume of sales on a nationwide scale we do not contact
individual customers unless the item(s) are on extensive
backorder. If you need immediate status for the product(s) you
have ordered, you may contact a customer service representative
which will gladly validate if the item(s) ordered
are currently in stock.
|
 |
When
will I receive my order? |
| |
All UPS-able and Fed Ex
items, are generally processed for shipment in 1 to 4 business
days. These items may take additional time to process for items
such as wheel and tire
packages which require mounting and balancing by out
installation center (other items
may apply).
Truck Freight Orders -
Due to the logistics of truck freight items, it may take 3 to 12
business days to process the order for shipment with the
appropriate freight comapny. This is not nessarily due to our
warehouse location slow. Unlike UPS most truck freight companies
dont have 60,000 trucks on the road at one time. This means it
may take our freight company several days in order to pick up
the merchandise for delivery. Once your order is processed
and shipped, it will take 2-14 business days to arrive.
|
 |
Can I
have my order here sooner? |
| |
You can have your order ship out Express
which will expedite shipping times when it leaves our warehouse
for $75.00 Express shipping.
|
 |
What
are the body kits and wings made
of? |
| |
There are a diverse amount
of materials available depending on the manufacture of the part.
Body kits are made of polyurethane, ABS plastic, composites
and/or polyvinylester and/or carbon fibers materials such as the
dodge viper or Diablo by Lamborgini are made of which give the
parts strength and durability, unless otherwise stated.
|
 |
Can I
Install the body kit my-self? |
| |
All body kits must be
pre-fitted before painting, and may require modification for
fitment. We can not say one way or the other whether you can
install ground effects and wings since we do not know your
skills. However, ground effects and wings in general require
installation by a custom body shop which has EXPERIENCE in
installing similar products. You have to be your own judge and
must decide whether or not you have the credentials to do it
yourself.
|
 |
How
much do body shops charge for
installation? |
| |
An installer that has one
year experience in installing all types of ground effects in all
3 materials (fiberglass, urethane, poly-fiber) would be able to
do the job in less time for less money, than an installer who
has 30 years experience, but who has never installed these types
of components.
|
 |
Who
should install my body parts and Do you
have any installation
instructions? |
| |
When using any
installation instructions, it's a good idea to do a reality
check and make sure the installation technique applies to your
particular body kit or wing and vehicle. This is only to be used
as a recommendation for installation of body kits and wings and
it might not be the best method for your particular situation. Moreover, a body
shop that needs instructions may not be qualified for the
install if they "need an instruction manual" in order to install
your parts. We highly advocate taking your components to an
installation center that has significant experience in custom
body work and installation of body kits in all available
materiels. This
means that many, if not most collision shops do not have the
necessary credentials to install aftermarket body components.
Many aftermarket components may not install in the same fashion or manner as OEM
components. A custom shop with 1 year of experience in custom
work like aftermarket body kits, fenders etc, will be more
qualified than a collision center that has been in the business
for 30 years and for the most part has only installed OEM
body parts. We have had technicians
write a basic overview of the installation process of these
types of parts below:
1. Preparation Advice -
Fill gaps with marglass, duraglass or other reinforced body
fillers. These materials have fine strands of fiberglass and
resin and add more structural strength than standard body
fillers. Fiberglass parts must be clean prior to prime and
paint.
2. Installation Advice - Do not over-tighten any screws.
Snug up only to prevent fiberglass from cracking. Keep in mind
that if the car for which the parts are being installed has been
in any sort of accident or other alteration whatsoever, it may
be necessary to file or sand some components to achieve perfect
fitment.
3. Preparing the Vehicle:
a. Remove factory appendages such as license
plate, brackets, fenderlips, mud flaps, etc.
b. Visually inspect all parts
c. Gently place bumper onto car and test fit
merchandise.
Mark holes for drilling.
d. Drill holes and pre-fit parts on the vehicle.
Be sure to
mask appropriate surface areas to avoid scratches when
pre-fitting.
e. Sanding or filing may be necessary to ensure a
perfect fit.
f. To obtain a perfect fit, you may want to "nest
fit" the parts to the car. To do this procedure you must first:
- Tape off the car where gaps are exposed
- Rough up the area of the fiberglass where gaps will
need to be filled. Use 80 grit sandpaper in these areas so the
material used will adhere properly.
- You can now fill the gaps with marglass, duraglass,
or other reinforced body filers.
- The material will not stick to the tape on the car so
it is easily removable.
- Make sure all parts are fitting precisely on the car then proceed
to sand and prime the material while the part is off the
car.
4. Fiberglass cleaning and painting prep -
a. Prepare the products for painting by obtaining the
following
materials:
-Clean rags
-3M #7447 Scotch Brite Pads
-2 Clean Buckets
-1,1,1 - Trichlorethane - a readily-available
non-flammable solvent.
b. 1,1,1 - Trichlorethen in each of the buckets
designating
one bucket "dirty" (1st wash) and one bucket "clean" (2nd wash)
c. Using a rag and the "dirty" bucket of solvent, clean
all
surfaces of the part thoroughly to remove the release agent.
Be sure to clean ALL surfaces, even those surfaces which will
not be painted, this prevents release transferring to surfaces
to be painted.
d. After the first washing has dried, use the Scotch Brit
Pad and
the clean bucket of solvent to scrub all surfaces to be painted.
When the part has dried, the surface should be dull and slightly
scratched. If any shiny spots appear, they must be rescrubbed
until they are dull.
5. Installation -
a. After pre-fitting, remove parts and sand with 180
grit. Fill
any pinholes with spot putty or bondo.
b. Primer with feather-fill fiberglass. Primer, let dry,
and water
sand with 400 grit.
c. Paint with desired paint, using flex additive.
d. When ready to bolt on the body kit, start from the
middle of the
car and work out to the sides.
6. Painting -
a. Any automotive primer will furnish excellent adhesion
to the
part if properly prepared. We do not recommend using a lacquer
primer due to its rigidity. Elastomeric primers are preferred
or acrylic primers with a flex additive are advisable.
b. Light sanding is recommended after the primer has been
applied.
c. Final color coat would follow the same recommendations
as the
primer except the sanding after the final color coat has been
applied should not take place.
NOTE: Flex agent in the primer and color coat is required due to
the flexibility of the part.
7. Sideskirts -
a. Remove factory side skirts
b. Place side skirt up to car. Sand edges of car to fit.
c. Drill 1/8 inch rives at wheel wells, 2 at each end.
d. Use Corvette Panel glue to bond to body if necessary.
e. Follow same instruction for bumpers in terms of prepping
parts.
