Mustang X-Pipes
There are factors to consider when buying an aftermarket mid-pipes. Many of today's aftermarket Mustang x-pipes are off-road and are not 50 state legal. However one of the benefits to aftermarket x-pipes is the fact that they have improved airflow over x-pipes with built in catalytic converters. Mid-pipe exhaust systems that contain cats have reduced airflow and thus horsepower increases aren't as pronounced as non-cat x-pipe exhaust. The downside however is that these are for off-road use only and for optimum performance gains may require tuning.
