Race Star Wheels

Race Star Wheels require Shank Style Lug Nuts, which engages more of the thread on the stud than the normal conical style lug nuts. The installation kit also includes 4 Hub Centric Rings, which center the wheel on the hub and eliminates vibrations. Hub Centric Rings are optional but very recomended, expecially if these wheels are going to be used at the track. The Installation kit also includes offset or centered washers (depending on bolt pattern) which make sure the wheel is installed as accurately as possible.

Installation of the Race Star Wheels might be confusing, as there are more components and mistakes can be costly. After you have inspected your wheels for defects,place the hub centric ring on the hub of the vehicle and align all wheel studs and set the wheel on the car as you normally would. Begin with the lug at the bottom (6 oclock) and gravity will help the washer fall into position. Tighten the lug hand tight to hold the washer in position, rotate the wheel and repeat until all lug are fastened. Spin the wheel to make sure the lugs and washer set correctly and torq lugs to proper specifications. (Requires offset washers)
